can you just post the following (and comments)
brand
C rating
burst rating
capacity
cell number
how many (like 2x 3s = 6s etc)
runtime aprox (race conditions are better if u have them)

eagle tree data is very much apreciated if u have it ;)
i'm trying to chose some good batts...i know this much...
maxamps...suck
venom = ok
zippy-H are pretty good
rhino is the same as zippy but something fishy there
few other brands are good but i'm looking at cheapies ;)

I run a pair of Flightpower EVO 25c 5s 3700 packs, I also believe that Venoms suck, and if you buy Zippys I prefer the "R" cells over the "H"s

maxamps 35c 4200mah 5cell 1p

alot of people hate maxamps but i have had great luck with their packs, i picked this pack because of size and weight, my truck is only used for racing, i get 20-25 min of run time depending on my gearing and track conditions, the pack never gets warm

I'm running a MMM with a TeknoNeu 1515 2.5d

5s=18.5V
NeuEnergy 25C/50C 4900Mah 2s on motor side and 3s on esc side
20+minute screwing around, bashing race style

5s MaxAmps 20C/40C 5000mah 2s motor side/3s esc side
aprox 20 minutes screwing around, bashing race style

Current gearing is 62/20 = about 35MPH on Badlands

My idea of bashing race style is following a course in my apt parkinglot. Just make up a course using stains in the blacktop, generally a few short runs with turns and a long straight away, similar to an actual race course. Yes I'm still running MA packs, I sent in to messed up 2s packs and they sent me what I wanted in return so I can't hate on them to much. The Neu packs have more punch with out a doubt. Temps on everything are great at the end of a 20 minute run with either set of packs.

RC-Monster RC8T 1515 2.5D/MMM/5s RC-M 4500mah
SC10 MMPro 13.5T 2s NeuEnery 5000mah
RC18T Mamba 25/5400kv 2s lipo + 6s NiMh

I run all 2s 8000 packs

4 MA 8000's (20C)
2 True Rc 8000's (15C)

I tell you I have never had a problem with either brand.

Never have seen over 100 degrees F and geared for 37-38mph.

I get about 30 minutes non-stop racing and about an hour bashing.
6 packs usually last me all day (5hrs) at the track. I generally stop
driving when the nitro guys cool their engines.

Next investment may be more True Rc's. They are priced good.

Brand: Enerland
C rating: 25
Burst rating: 50
Capacity: 6000
Cell #: 4s
How Many: two 2s in series(I own 4 of them)
Runtime: 18mins(thats really getting on it hard)

Running mmm 2200 combo geared 20/58 with (6.3inch tires) losi super bolt-ons in a traxxas e-revo= about 38mph

Brand: True Rc
C rating: 10c
Burst rating: 15c(I think)
Capacity: 8000mah
Cell #: 4s
How Many: two 2s in series
Runtime: 22 to 24 mins(that is really getting on it hard)

In same truck as above.
For some reasson the 8000s have more punch and produce 1.8mph faster runs

thanks for all the help
some good batteries running around here

i want to keep cheap so i came up with a good idea... tell me if this is ok...
i currently own a 8000mah trueRC 10c 3s lipo.
that is being run in the rustler...

what if i just got another one...
that'll give me 6s 8000mah 10c.
they are "rated" for 120A burst but i think he under rates them slightly..anyway...

some snooping around this forum tells me my revo will require bursts/peaks of up to 2400 watts of power.

so on 4s that's 160A's...too much
BUT on 6s that's only 120A's...that's within my burst range

so should/could i run 2 x trueRC 3s 8000mah 10c lipo's???
(yeah that's about one KG of batts there ..is that ok as long as i fiddle with the suspension to carry that weight?)

2 Lipo Packs ran in a series should be the same age. A Brand new one ran with a used one will tend to over discharge the older one.

Double check me on this, but I really don't believe the 3S 8000mah packs will fit the compartments.

About the highest 6S capacity setup I've been able to fit is 5000mah.

ok understood.
the pack isnt "old" so to speak, only has maby 10 cycles on it.
if i cycle and charge it again and bring it back to health do you think it will be ok?

and i'm doing a rEvo conversion, so there are not any battery compartments to worry about

2 3s 8000 packs will be pretty heavy, IMO you would be better off with a pair of 3s 5000 packs
