E-Revo with 4s2p pack, fit ideas... - 01.05.2009, 08:35 PM

I have an E-Revo I just got in today, and was planning on using my existing 4s2p pack from my Monster GT conversion.

BUT, I'm conerned about the pack sitting on top of the chassis, with nothing more than the body to really protect it in the event of a hard hit on the lid.

I have some breathing room between the battery pack and the stock body if I do velcro it down, but I'm wondering if others have done it and been okay. I also have to run the motor on the front of the tranny, rather than the rear (if you use the single motor plate). Using the stocker I can use the front position, and have that open spot for the battery.

If there was a rollbar of sorts I'd be less paranoid of an issue, but with it sitting there, I know something will happen sooner or later.

I'm not quite confident enough to take the 4s2p pack apart and redo it, but that's an option as well. Then I could run the packs in their stock compartments and not have any problems.

Any thoughts?

Thanks all,

10k
