which is a better connector, i currently run deans connectors on all my my lipos and everthing else. I have been looking at the trx connectors as they seem like a better looking cleaner design than the deans connector and was thinking about changing.
IMO there is no difference conducting wise, but more what your preference is. I have used Deans Ultras all along and I tried the Traxxas brand and didnt see any reason to change all of my connectors
i dont really have a problem soldering deans connectors. its just that i have seen a couple of people using the trx connector and they just look a cleaner design, i suppose cause they dont need any heatshrink
yes, i use deans. i dont like traxxas connectors. they break over time
Dont get how you could break them unless you had a pliers and purposely tried to break them. Ive never broken a TRX connector and they outlast the deans because the deans Ive used have lost the pins from the sockets before. Never had that happen with TRX connectors.
I 100% agree with that statment^^. Another thing I noticed is that their isnt anywere near as bad of arching once you plug it in. Makes me feel safer knowing that it archs less.
I'd say deans. They are more widely used and more "standard" of a plug. Other then that, there is really no advantage to useing either, just personal preference. I use deans plugs. I just wouldn't use some deans and some trx. You'll need to make up your mind.
