My little custom lipo project - 01.07.2009, 01:46 AM

So when I got my Hyperion EOS 5i dp AC/DC lipo charger and my SMC batteries, Plus all the accessories and hook ups, I was sick of breaking them out of all different kinds of boxes and cases. So I got this idea to build a case to keep everything I have all in one area. I went to Wallmart and picked up an aluminum CD case that comes with a shoulder strap and a lock for $22.00, Gutted it all out, and replaced the interior with custom molded foam and glued felt to the foam. So here is my custom charger case.

It's not just paint! It's an Attitude!

Same here, I got the real large one, CAN carry my TT-01... Don't do that anymore >_>

Now I have it storing two lipos, 2 NiMHs, 2 more NiMHs, 2 more LiPos, my DX3R w/ an extra RX, my BC6 and power adapters and whatnot..
The BC6 is taking up all the room, and I'm mad at it.

EDIT:
I like how you glued the foam...

I have the soft ones... So I'm unsure how to glue that

Everytime I pull something out, my foam comes out, and I have to reseat everything..
And a couple of my wires are being a beotch, so I have to fix that... My case is a mess.

Nice setup!.. I really do need to make me some of these.. I've got tons of empty DeWalt cases laying around that should work nicely..

Any words of wisdom from the wise to the unknowing..

Nothing!.. Hahahahaaa..

Heyy!
I can use some DeWalt cases and a ton of foam!

Heyyy, I'll be your best friend?

I used a white sharpie to outline my stuff, then xacto my stuff (but I had the square stuff, so I just took my finger, and grabbed it, and pulled it out.. (Something you'd expect the Linc to say...)

Don't go crazy with the foam, chill with it, be it, then cut it.

Very nice! I've got 3 radios, a 1210i, about 10 lipos and more... I need a case.

Get me back into RC!
