Mini-t steering servo -
01.06.2009, 09:31 PM
Ok, my friend just got a mini-t and has been looking at upgrades. He said that the steering servo seems a little week so i'm trying to help him out in finding a servo. This is his first rc car and all he knows about brands and all is what i've told him, but i don't know much about mini-t's. so i'm looking for a servo that would help him out a bit.
What would be a good servo for a mini-t?
And he only wants to spend 30 maxx, perferably more like 20-25

The hs-55 with the losi hs-55 servo saver is cheap and a noticable improvement over stock
otherwise hs-82mg with xray m18 servo saver is awesome but requires chassis modification.
Savage: FLM Conversion, 6s, MMM, CC 1520.
Mini-T Pro: Micro Pro 6800kv, Lipo, HS-81mg, Dirt Hawgs
M18MT: Quark 33A, Y22S 6000kv, FP 2s Lipo
LRP S8-BX: RC-M Conversion, Tekin RX8 B1600KV, 6S.

the mini-t has a esc/receiver combo, and you cannot upgrade the servo without also upgrading the receiver and speed control. Time to go brushless!

It's been so long since I my mini-t was stock I completely forgot about that. It does depend on what mini-t he has though. Some now come with the separate esc receiver.

It is possible to solder the 4 wire lead to the hs-55. There is a guide around somewhere on how to do it.
