I still think the 19 series is kinda small for a 5b unless its gutted.
It kinda is, but it's a very torquey motor and VERY smooth. It's a cheap way to get an electric Baja but you're better off with a 1527 or 2215. When the 4410 and 4415 come out maybe they'll be even better.
All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.
I have an OEMRC Sentillion 100-amp esc, the original version. It's a great esc for the price in that it works as advertised. I used it when my MMM V2 went poof. For a single Benjamin, I don't think you can get a better esc thats rock-solid up to 12s and runs ice-cold with my 2050kv Neu on 6s all day.
This "Platinum" version seems a bit pointless for car guys. It doesn't add proportional brakes or any other beneficial programming feature for car use beyond the original, so why pay twice for it?
I saw the vids of the Baja 5b using this esc for a 19-series Neu. I think that may be close to the limit as far as current draw for this esc. Perhaps adding larger caps and a fan just for good measure.
I tried one of the sentilions. It sucked. Didn't keep sync well, accelerated slow. Works I a pinch I suppose, but certainly not that great.
I experienced similar results from my Sentilon. They are claiming that a newer faster CPU has helped to alleviate the sync problems. Of course that doesn't say anything about the rate at which it ramps up the motor.
