e-maxx brushless servo

Hello I have an e-maxx with medusa 1600kv 60mm on 6s + MMM, and servo of steering is a hitec hs-985mg. Can I use this servo on e-maxx without servo saver?

Sure as long as you dont mind breaking it when you hit something wrong.

Rivermaxx is correct. The servo saver absorbs the shock from impacting bumps, objects, and other hazards that are in your way and prevents damage to your expensive servo (ie., "servo saver").

I prefer use without servo saver because the steering are more precise, I used the servo saver of t-maxx 2.5 and a hot racing servo saver and these servo savers are imprecise.
what servo saver could use? it is not too expensive.

the UE IV is too expensive for me.

You could also see if you can replace the spring in your current one for one a little stiffer.

I used to have one similar to that...it was made by Proline. It should work fine as long as your truck is not too heavy.

That servo saver will work ok, but not as good as the gen IV UE servo saver. You have to work within your means $$$ and that is that. So if that is what you can afford, then that is what you have to work with. Any other option is only going to work so much. If you want perfection, then save your moeny and get the UE gen IV. With any luck UE might get back to making them again this year. Good luck with your endevour.
