AKA vs Proline

Anybody have any extended run time on the Proline Revolvers or Cailbers? I have been running AKA's since they came out but the new Proline Calibers look promising so I bought a set, but have not tried them yet. One thing I like about the AKA's are the foams last a long time, so you can buy just the tires and reuse the foams which saves you a few bucks.

I found that the AKA tires are wider and taller than the Prolines. Calibers shown are mounted on V2 rims which are supposed to be wider than the regular Velocity rims.

AKA truggy foams (on the right) after a month of racing, Losi foams on the left show some wear and are much softer than the AKA's.

I made a mistake in buying the M2 compound for my Revolvers. M3 is the way to go, but i've pretty much stuck to AKA's ever since. They last a long time and they wear very evenly. Also, the tire is mostly supported by the foam instead of the sidewalls, which in my opinion makes the tires more forgiving.

Proline V2 rims are only taller, V3 rims (and tires) are wider.

I ran my buggy today with V3 revolvers in M3. I really liked them a lot. I did loose a tick of steering in the corner due to the width so I'm gonna get a set of revolvers in V2 for the fronts. The track was unprepped, dry and dusty and traction was actually pretty decent.

aka foams are the best!! when tires are done, we cut it open and keep the foams.
