Hooking Up My Balancer - 01.29.2009, 02:56 PM

Now that my Superbrain 989 is on the way, im looking at how to use a balancer. A buddy of mine gave me his Thunder Power TP-205v so ill be using that. I am going to be charging a smaller 3 cell Zippy lipo and a larger 5 cell zippy. I need the wire and adapter piece that will hook the balance to the charger. I think these will work, but just wanted to make sure!

Here are the two products im looking at:
Connector Board: http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...CB7TPQF&cat=19
Connection wire: http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...d=CEHN7&cat=19

If those do not work, will this work for the zippy plug? (I think its the same though)

I appreciate the help!

Zippy packs use align style balancing taps. And if I remember correctly the 205 will only accept tp style taps. So you need 2 seperate adapters, a 3s tp to 3s align female, and a 5s tp to 5s align female.

I may have that tp balancer hanging around, so I can take a look at what you may need to get it working with align style taps. Pretty sure maxamps and cheapbatterypacks.com can make the required adapters to get it working. I will look and get back to you.

Had a look at the tp balancer. You need to follow this link: http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...tors&scat=ALTP

Buy the AL->TP3S and the AL->TP5S

10 bucks plus shipping. This is a great site, BTW. I use them alot and their service is excellent.
