I am at a loss - 03.07.2009, 05:17 PM

So I have this Polyquest pack that I love. The wires come out the top of the pack. There is no good way to put this pack in my slash and use the stock battery hold down. I tried everything. The only way I can run it in the slash is by forcing the battery hold down on top of the wires squashing the hell out of them. That cannot be good and one would think it eventually is going to cause chaos with my battery leads. I put the battery pack in the opposite way and moved the foam to the other side with no luck. It kind of sucks. The SPC pack I have with the wires coming out the sides I had to notch the chassis with my dremel to get the wires and pack to fit. Now I have no clue what to do with the PQ pack. Things this simple should not be that difficult. Any thoughts? I can provide pictures if needed.

I would Remove the foam and see how snug it fits.. I use my 3s 5000mah and it fits snug and doesn't need the foam and without the foam there you can run the wires where the foam would be and just go up.. Post some pics if you could.

You could use the foam but cut a notch out of it for the wires to come out...

I second that! ALL of my trucks have custom trays made by Mike to fit specific batteries so the cells stay nice and tight

Why put a RCM tray into a vehicle with a tray already in it? I believe the stock slash battery strap is the issue. I think he just needs a couple of gorilla straps bolted on each side of the battery to strap across it laterally.
