The only thing I can say is that since Losi release v2.0 on the 8T, the original version may still be able to be found for a really good price.

Very true. 8ight-T Race rollers can be found in the $300-350 range.

the 2.0 8T is about twice as much as the V1 now. 2.0s a bit longer, has a nice new ackermann design I hope fits the v1. $300 of better, no way unless you are going for the IFMAR WCC

I had the 8T and now have the rc8t...any of the previous issues with the 8T (steering slop, bent outer hinge pins, etc...) have been fixed with the 8T 2.0....the rc8T doesn't have any of these issues....and +1^ unless you are trying the win the worlds the original 8T is just fine and hopefully the steering upgrade will be cross compatible....truggies are naturally extremely durable, when I had my 8T i ran it at the local track for almost a year and the only things I've broken are a wing mount, a busted wheel, and a rear hub carrier (ALL DRIVER ERROR and a testament to my bad driving in the beginning)....the only reason why I picked up the rc8t was because I already have an sc8 and the parts/screws are cross compatible...thus, i don;t need to stock up on as many extra parts/screws....the more long-term economical choice for me IMHO

do you have any links to the steering upgrades for the v1.0 that are standard on the v2.0?
