beach suspension set up? - 03.26.2009, 11:03 AM

I'm going to the beach soon with my BL rusty. Would a soft or hard suspension be best? I would think soft, to soak up all the bumps, but I could be wrong.

I will spank a nitro any day...guaranteed. :)

soft for certain at the beach, a hard suspension will just bounce across the bumps. When I had my rusty it saw alot of beach use.

What oil/spring/piston set up did you find that worked the best for you?

I ran one of my cars at the beach and had a blast until a few weeks later when everything that was chrome or not aluminum started to rust. I just about had to rebuild the whole car. How do you prevent this or do you have just one car for the beach?

It rusted because of the salt. If you wash the salt off you will be good. You could also not drive in the wet sand.

I'm going to a fresh water lake anyways so I dont have to worry about that.
