can anyone please help , i just got my new flextek arms for my emaxx. and my cvd's are too short. i had them on my emaxx before changing to flextek, so can anyone please help me. anyone .

the rear are mip's the front are something else. they are both too short. if you got any ideas that would be great. i wanted to race tommorrow night. this is the only thing stopping me.

Was they for regular width or wide? did you screw the pillow balls in all the way as well. I don't know other than that. Johnny maxxima has these on his truck. maybe pm him to see.

I run MIP's on the front and the back with FlexTek and don't have a single problem. Not sure what your doing but whatever it is it's not right.

Unless you have the short version CVD's :S

thats the only explaination. you must have had a original e-maxx. how old is it and did it come with the evx or the vx-12 originally. if this is the case your only chance of racing is either go get some new ones or put the stock sliders back on. the should hold up for a while.

i had just the wide maxx arms on before. i have screwed in the pivot balls in all the way to the end of the thread. its a gorrilla max chassis with integy ally bulkheads. i didnt know there was any long or short cvd's. can anyone clarify that.

i think i have found a solution . i found some other cvd cups that are a little longer, and therefore stick out further than the ones i had on. i hope this will fix it. it looks like a winner. all i have to do is find two more the same. i will measure them and let you guys know. i appreciate your input fellas.

You can also use a 6 mm ring behind the CVD, on the side where the bone is. That gives you another mm of play. you might need a ring between the bearings as well, to prevent binding .

i found the solution to my problem, i have rpm shock towers and i just got my new flextek arms and also new 1/'8 shocks. now it came to me at the track the other night at the track, actually someone mentioned it so i cant take the credit for it really. there is no adjustment on the top of the shock tower, and only two on the new arms. what was happening was the shock was making the arm drop too much and therefore the cvd's were almost falling out. sssssoooooo all i have to do is put some spacers inside the shocks, problem solved. now all i have to do is work out what i use to make the spacers out of. ANY IDEAS.......
