Clean, I suppose...

Q. if you were to remove the mouldings in that area under where the esc is mounted, would it actually fit/sit in there, or is the MMM just a tad too wide?

It would sit in there. I figure for now I am going to leave it as is just so I can get out and run it. But in the near future I do plan on getting out the dremel and taking down those plastic pieces and then lining the entire inside with some type of padding and then velcro it down with the zip tie still over the top.

Is that Mod 1 gearing you are running? If so what are the details on the slipper/spur conversion to run Mod 1? I'd like to run my Medusa 50x3300 5mm shaft in a slash.

E-CRT.5 Monster - RCM chassis, MM/Medusa 50x3300/3s, truck tires, 1/8 shocks
E-CRT.5 Stock - Sidewinder/4600/2s, buggy tires
E-8ight - Tekin RX8 2000kv/4S
E-8ight T- Tekin RX8 1700kv/5S

His looks to be 32p, to run mod 1 just get the monster gt spurs, and modify to fit center bearing, and slipper hub. 2 min mod.

32p and Mod0.8 are essentially the same, or at least VERY close that it doesn't matter...

He's running Mod0.8. There's no real need to run Mod1 in a Slash. You can get much better gearing options with Mod0.8 anyhow. Robinson Racing makes a ton of 5mm bore Mod0.8 pinions and Traxxas has about 7 different Mod0.8 spurs available that bolt right up.

I'm ordering the Alias Traxxas tire on the black chrome wheels. My stockers just are not getting any traction. My buddy has a VXL in his Rustler with the Alias tires and he is pulling mad wheelies. We were running on a infield in the dirt at a ball diamond today and anything over 1/2 throttle I was majorly sideways.. LOL We were both running the same 2s PQ pack. Within a split second on the dirt it is up to full speed and spinning...

After 30 minutes of wide open throttle and wheel spin my motor was 110, ESC 75, lipo pack 85.

Nice setup you've got there. I was running my MMM, 60mm 2000kv Medusa powered Rustler around today on a 4S Zippy H 4000mAh pack today. I have a revo slipper assembly with the 40t spur and a 13t 5mm pinion. It was running great until a drive shaft broke.

Good luck with your slash.

With the FLM chassis and the 4S pack it's pretty heavy, combined with the open diff it's more of a tire roaster right now. If I get a good roll going and hit it then it just wants to wheelie though. Suprisingly, it is really controlable I've got beadlocks and proline speed hawgs for tires.

The slipper is locked down right now I might try and loosen it a bit to see if that helps ease wheel spin some.
