shoot me a pm with what you got and price shipped. i prefer one compatible with a jst-eh or jst-xh balancer, but not necessary.

buy a new one! 1/18th lipos aren't that expensive. That is the one MA pack I have that has been flawless since day one! It's a 1550mah 2s, I had the 3s but was to much with my setup.

RC-Monster RC8T 1515 2.5D/MMM/5s RC-M 4500mah
SC10 MMPro 13.5T 2s NeuEnery 5000mah
RC18T Mamba 25/5400kv 2s lipo + 6s NiMh

what up hoov. so just recently i took the time to try out all the diff. set of tires you sent me. and your right, those foamies are a blast to run with....its sorta like a drifter hahah.
but for some strange reason, still no wheelies. i thought for sure once i put them smaller tires back on, it would wheelie. are you sure theres no slipper for the rc18mt? cus when i gun it from the start, itll slip 1-2 feet, then itll take off. i managed to hit 40mph on it the other day on a big open area. normally i would top out at 37mph...using stock tires.

so now im thinking its the 3s lipo....they are totally off balanced now. all three of them.
it would show something like 3.92 4.15 4.22
even after fully charging, the numbers are waaay off haha.
i think those zippys are done with. plenty of speed left, but no initial punch.
i was thinking of getting them zippys again since their cheap, but maybe a 25c instead?

You need to balance the batteries before you charge them if they are that far off. Then charge them back up at a low rate, like0.1ampd and let them balance during the charge. What brand are they, and what balancer are you using?

ouuu reallly. you can balance them without charging? how do you do that? im using a hyperion 0606i charger with the hyperion jst-xh balancer.
i always balanced and charged at the same time. im using the zippy 20c lipos.
i dont think the charger can adjust the charge amp rate. i can just adjust the number of cells and the total mah on the lipo, unless i dont know how...

I do not think the 606i will allow stand alone balancing. I have one and will have to read the manual. You can just set the charger to 100mah, or as low as it will go and it will charge and .10 amp. It will only put in 100mah worth of charge, but it will give the balancer time to do its thing and get the higher voltage cells drained. I used to do this with my 5i chargers, even though I used an external balancer. This way you will get some charge in the lower voltage cells while balancing. I guess an external balancer is still a good idea, huh! Glad I still have a few. I know the 610i chrgers wil alllow stand alone balancing, I did that with my new one last week.

o ok thanks for the tip. ill just lower it to 100 mah or whatever the lowest is, and ill see if this works. ill report back and see if this was the reason why i lost the punch.

An unbalanced lipo can have serious issues discharging correctly. I would suggest getting it balanced, then not running it too hard for the next few charges. It may go back out of balance if you push it too hard. After a few balance charges it should be good to go. The cell matching of the cheaper packs is not as good, so they will get way out of balance.

You may have to charge it a few times with the setting at .10. Cause the charger will stop charging after 100mah is put in. So it may take a few times of you switching it to charge mode to get it back in balance and charged. May take a day or so... luckily it is a small pack.

actually, the 1/10 on road tires were the most likely to pull wheelies. They gave the truck a higher COG.

If you describe the foamies as "drifter" style tires, then I have to assume its the surface you are running on that is causing the slip and ruining all of your wheelie fun.

The only other thing I can think of would be that the diff balls are shot and the gear in the diff is spinning out....but that would really take more torque then I think that little truck has.

As for the battery, listen to link. He knows better than I. I dont think a higher C rating will make a difference. I really think the slip you feel is the tires losing grip on the surface you are on. ....could be wrong, but that makes the most sense to me. I had that little thing doing wheelies on command.

yea, on that day, i did run those foamies in black cement. but i always thought black cement had too much grip. but no, ive ran the truck in numerious terrain but that was with the stock mt tires. i still have the 1/10 onroad tires on, maybe ill try them for a while.
i only found 3 of them aluminum 1/10 adapters, so im using the plastic ones...do those give the truck a wider stance? it looks like it.
wheelies on commmand huh, you know what, maybe its because you had the hyperion motor?? this pink one motor prolly just got more top end but less low end maybe?
diffs are out...i hope not hahah i dont hear any wierd noise.

If the diffs get loose you will hear them screeching... Very obvious noise.

I got it to wheelie with that motor as well. Maybe its the gearing?
I donno.

Hey, about that Hyperion Motor...dude its just sitting here.

The guy who bought it fell off the planet and does not run his stuff anymore.

I asked him about the motor and he said "keep it".

I have NO USE for it. If you want it, just pay shipping and its yours.

My own little PIF I guess....happy birthday or whatever. Just PM me your info and I'll get it out next week.
