medusa shaft moving - 04.01.2009, 11:48 AM

Hello,

Today I changed the pinion for my 36-70-2300 motor then I discover this shaft moving about 2-3mm in and out is that normal?

Thanks

Check this, and make conclusion... You might want to check rear endplate first, that its on its place, if its ok, you should consider changing bearings or do some shimming.
I think there is mistage on Medusa's drawing, minimum end play should be 0,63mm and maximum 1,88mm.

At the worst, it could be a sign the magnet is coming off. I would check it all out before I ran it again to make sure everything is GTG.
