Looks a little cheaply made IMO. Plastic towers, etc

Its a clone of the evo-1 fg series 1/5 mt's. Also almost identicle to the duratrax firehammer mt and the xtm grizzly. I would suggest you take a look into fs-racing. Cheap 1/5's that are quality.

My friend has an xtm grizzly. Its very durable. Beats the living crap out of it and the only thing he's broken is the front left arm which he stripped out.

i have seen those before and they are complete junk. if you want a cheap clone, get a kingmotor baja. it is a clone of the baja 5b and is 100% parts compatible with the 5b.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

How do you know theyre complete junk if you've never driven one? Most 1/5s are very reliable and are decently durable because people dont beat on them as much as 1/10s or 1/8s.

there is a guy at my lhs who has one and this is what he had to replace within the first gallon of fuel:

diff (stripped)
engine (faulty manufacturing)
shocks (leaked and bent)
body (tore in half in first crash)
all drive gears
chassis (bent very easily)
and a few other things.
he replaced the broken stuff with duratrax firehammer mt parts.

i have the km baja and with the km tuned pipe, it is AS FAST as a baja 5bss. without the optional tuned pipe, it is slow though.

i ended up ruining my km diff, but that was from pulling wheelies by going WOT over speed bumps.

Well I dont know what that guy was doing with it but that sounds fishy... My experience with the design was nothing but terrific.
