MMM V3 Official Specs - 06.08.2009, 04:56 PM

Hello All,

I was thinking (very dangerous, do not want to let the magic smoke out of my head) could we get all the official specs on the Monster version 3 like:

Fan comes on at : 150 F
ESC thermals at:
Max lipo: 6s, but could we get recomended mah for each cell count
eg 4s-mah/C Rating sould be 5000mah and 25c to get a proper amp draw for the MMM...
maybe this can help users from blowing up their ESC

Can we do the same for the motors?
Maybe castle could help on this. What other info would we like to know?

The mAh for 4s, 6s, etc depends GREATLY on the vehicle, gearing, usage, etc. You could have a heavy vehicle geared high that would need a lot more current than a low geared, lighter vehicle. There is no hard and fast rule, but generally, if you pick cells with a true 120-150A rating, you should be good.

And it's not really the mAh rating, but the combination of mAh rating and C rating. The mAh spec hints more at runtime. A 3300mAh 50C cell has the same current capability as a 8000mAh cell at 20C. Granted the 3300 cell won't have much runtime, and high current is less efficient.

Then can't we provide a recomendation for lipos based on vehicle class with regard to lipo mah and C rating and cell count.

I would still like to get more information on the ESC and motor that is acurate and endorsed by castle.

Yes, we can, but it would be a pretty long list. Each vehicle can have different tires, weights, gearing, so it could get complicated.

There is something in the works though, so stay tuned! Don't know how long it will be, but it's coming....
