Stampede BL Combo Ideas? - 01.26.2006, 06:47 PM

I have a Stampede roller on the way and I'll probably be ordering an extended FLM chassis kit tonight. However, I'm afraid I'll be quite bored with just having a rolling chassis for the next couple of weeks, so I figured I'd go ahead and look into a BL combo while I'm at it. What would you guys suggest? I'd prefer something that Mike has in stock so I can get everything together, but I'd be willing to wait a bit on the motor/controller if necessary.

The overall goal is this, with $ dictating what parts of it get bought immediately.

Steering Servo BMS-620MG
Maximizer Wheel Adapters
FLM Chassis Braces
FLM Super Extended Chassis Kit
Aluminum Idler Gear
MIP CVD Kit
Brushless Combo
Maxx Wheels
Threaded Shocks
Panther Komodo Dragon Tires
FLM CNC Transmission

me personally like the wanderer a little better for the bearings are better. I don't know much about the smaller setups. I have never ran the small stuff. I don't know if the 7020 would do or not. should but not sure. The basic lehners I have heard work well to. The 4200

The 8s would most likely be a bit hot for the Warrior 7020. The Lehner Basic motors, however, would work with the Warrior 7020.

I think Mike will have to switch the Maximizer wheel adapters to the Wild Dagger ones, because the Stampede adapters are for the Nitro Stampede (which uses a different front wheel setup).

He's getting me set up with the parts I need for those as well. He was extremely helpful with making sure I was getting the right parts...super quick responses too.

Wild Dagger adapters? I've not seen these on his site..

For brushless I guess it depends how many cells you plan to run..6 cells won't push Maxx sized tyres too fast.

i have a set of wild dagger to maxx wheel adapters on my dagger, and i have a set of aluminum R2-C2 Maxx wheels installed.

i also purchased a set of stampede-to-maxx wheel adapters on ebay. i havent had a chance to install them on my BL FLM rustler though. i plan on using Proline maxx 1/2" offset dish wheels with a pin tire which will be approximately the same height as the 2.2 M2K tires.

i run the following BL setups in my stampedes/rustlers to give you some ideas:

stampede #1

- novak ss5800
- 7cells
- 21/87
- Ghawg tires

stampede #2

- Hacker master comp controller w/ lehner basic 5300
- 7cells
- 16/87
- M2k tires

stampede #3

- Novak Super Rooster w/ trinity speed gems 14x2
- 7cells
- 18/87
- Ghawg tires

Rustler #1

- schulze U-Force 75 w/ lehner basic 5300
- 7cells
- 16/87
- M2k tires

Rustler #2 (not completed yet)

- schulze 18.97 KWF w/ Nemisis 12s
- 12cells
- gearing is undecided
- Ghawg tires (so far)
