I think they're Electron motors have something to do with this move, as well as the CC/Neu motors available also.

Yep the neu motors have been phased out by the lektron motors.

To me the lektron motors look a lot like CC motors in the pics. Not that I have a problem if they are. Of course maybe the are re-speced and designed neu motors to be sold under the tekno name only.

My question is what size are these motors? It says:

With its standard front mounting holes and at just 60mmL x 38mmW x 38mmH, the motor can be mounted just about anywhere...
So is this a 60mm motor like the Medusa 36/60 series? And basically the 1512 sized also?

This is the ultimate 1/8th buggy motor!!!
I've been thinking of trying one of these in my 8ight-B for some time now. I know the CC/Neu 2650 was great on 3/4s in my Jammin. And I just switched to a Neu 1515/1Y/F on 4s and its even better and cooler. But I think the Lektron 2200kv would be perfect on 4s in the 8ight-B. Still plenty of power, but back to the 2650 size and even lighter weight overall.

My question is why are these only rated at 900w max output? Smaller size and lighter weight? rated conservatively? 900w is still enough to push a buggy but looking at the Neus, they are rated at 2000+W max outputs...

Look at the medusas though- the 60mm's are rated at 900w, but they push buggies and truggies with power to spare.

As far as the power ratings go, they are probably rating the 900w value as a constant, while the 2000w Neu power is in bursts. Or, they might be derating the power value because these are designed for cars where there isn't a big "fan" to aid in cooling like there would be in a heli or plane.

^^ Understood.

I may pick up the 2200kv version to try out and shed some weight in my 8ight-B. I got my motor plates for the Tekno chassis, so i'll finish that and test with the 1515/1Y/F first. Overkill probably... lol
