Know a place to get decent CHEAP packs? - 06.24.2009, 09:08 PM

I know hobbycity/hobbyking is a good place, but im looking for another place beside ebay and hc/hk to get packs, somewhere in the US, I just dont like waiting 5-7 days for the packs to show up.

Go with either Hobbycity, or go with the new Hyperion G3 packs, they are very powerful and decently priced. There is no point is in trying to find a faster place to get them... if you order them they will come... if you wait around trying to find a faster shipper, you could have had them already. You dig?

Yes, the Monster has the Hyperion packs, he can vouch for them as he said they are the most powerful packs he tested.

if you elect the international express shipping, you'll get the packs in 3-4 days, max with hobbbycity.

problem is, their stuff is priced so econimically, it's hard to catch the right packs in stock.

you might try the elite 35C packs from cheapbatterypacks.com. i've heard they're fierce.

You could check out NeuMotors/NeuEnergy they usually have some deals on packs and they have good stuff.

I'll second the vote for the Hyperion G3 packs. You can pick them up from (in the US):

where is RC MONSTER located? I just feel that anything over $100 for a 4s1p 20c+ pack is absurd. when you can get them for $50 $60

Hmm, you seem to be stuck on zippy pricing... As far as that goes you get what you pay for, unless you buy maxamps, then you get exactly what you pay for.

I am watching the g3 lipos intently, especially the packs ZPB has, as he seems to be a good solid tester with no reason to report falsely.

I think something around 150 for a 6s pack is a great price to aim for, if not easy to do. I am sticking with the old generation enerland 25-30c packs until the g3 prove to be reliable to go along with the power. If hyperion are selling them they must be ok, seems like hyperion aims to provide high end stuff, and they do not disappoint.

Yeah i know that argument, thats what it is too. That can be said about anything. Im betting that these Zippy, Turnigy, Rhino packs are ok. Most of what i have read seems to point to that. Its like an old Chevy versus Ford argument. People are welcome to pay high dollar for packs, I can buy 3 for what they would pay for 1, if even 1 pack is bad outta the 3 its still a pretty good deal. Ill give an honest assessment on the Turnigy 4s1p 5000mAh 25c and the Rhino 5s1p 4900mAh 20c. both have had 2 cycle on them and only issue i had was on teh Rhino pack, it had one of the cells go below 3.0 volts. I corrected that and its back to normal. Ill continue to update on these packs if ya guys like

I'd say its more like Kia vs Toyota, but that's me.

Neu has great prices on lipos if you can wait for the good deals. Plus they are high quality and matched cells. My zippies are powerful too, but so far they have a 50% failure rate after a year of use. Have not ever lost any other packs before, plus they always took a lot of time to balance.

In the end, the Neus I got were only ~20% more for a much better batt. Its hard to beat deals like that.
