u know, I was on castle's website the other day and was wondering that too...
I want those battery boxes, and a matching green pinion
edit: turns out those titles on that page turned into links for the pinions, theyre for sale now. $10.95 and they come in mod 1 and 32p

Case hardened. So the teeth are hardened on the outside, but soft on the inside. That allows the teeth to deform a little without breaking under torque.
