Bye bye Plettenburg, Hello NEU!! - 07.02.2009, 11:21 PM

Mike assisted me and let me know my esc was hitting thermal because I have too much truck for my Bigmaxximum motor so I will be selling it. My truck weighs over 17lbs. After seeing these two motors side by side, I'm very sure I'm making the right upgrade for my E-Maxx.
I weighed both motors and the Bigmaxximum weighed in at 12 1/4 ounces. The Neu motor 1527 1.5D 1500kv weighs a whopping 1lb 5 3/8 ounces!! I truly can't wait to hit the throttle with this beast mounted in my truck. On top of that I will be running 6s Lipos in it for the first time and went from the 97 amp schulze to the 149 amp schulze. My last upgrade was a high torque Futaba servo that produces about 333 ounces of torque. Hopefully I'm finally finished, and I can finally get some good runtimes with my truck. We'll see...
Clearly longer can
Bimaxximum vs Neu
2.5 hp vs 5!

OMG that a hvy truck! The 1527 is huge! that should do the trick.

You may want to get an Eagletree at some point with all you've invested so you can look at power levels amp draw and even temp sensors. Really nice to have to dial the setup in (ie gearing etc) so you don't run the risk of damaging any components.

BTW, did you make a FS post? You should link in your sig.

I'm Eagletree shopping as we speak! lol I'm just dissapointed because I only see the flight dashboards... I'm looking for a car version.

Also I'll post a video for sure! I use to have to go almost full throttle to make it pop wheelies because it's so heavy... I don't think I'll have to anymore lol.

EagleTree car version - This is the one I have and it's perfect for cars and trucks.

Be sure to get a temp sensor or two.

That same motor we are using in a Losi 8T 1.0 truggy. Runs great on 6S and so far my buddy has won 1 race and placed 2nd in another. Motor runs VERY cool.

1527 in a truggy, yah, that would run cool for sure. At the track, my 1512 on 6s in a Revo runs at ~130F after a 30 min MAIN.

I had a 1515 1650kv 6s MMM Emaxx.....all steel cvd, many destroyed trans, pinion and gear were custom cut......I think it is too much for an Emaxx.....but WILL be fun.....

Just tested it out today in my driveway... O.M.G.!! This thing has soooo much torque now. I have a 24t/66t set-up and it feels like a 14/72! I will be posting a video soon... Just have to get to some open land where I can open up with it. Honestly... this motor has so much power, I'm almost scared of my own toy now lol. Sad aint it? lol.
