Post your other hobbies!!! - 02.11.2006, 10:30 AM

Lets see what members are into besides RC!!!

I like to tinker with high voltage myself. Last summer I built a 1440 watt Tesla coil. Powered by two 12kv 60mA neon sign transformers.

Zip file of coil in action.

Distance from toroid to the ladder is 35 inches.

Lets see those other hobbies. Post away!!!

Sport Atvs, reptiles, saltwater fish, pocket rockets.

I'm an elctrician and I have made a tesla coil, but nothing like that. Mine was just a ladder that the arcs jumped between the distance was about 3-4". That thing you made is just plain crazy looking.

I have an interest in electrinics and anything mechanical

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I have to admit, my first love is mountain biking especially free riding and cross country. I also enjoy the occasional road ride. After that I enjoy anything RC but mostly my monstermaxx. I also very much enjoy music and home theater. I love getting down to the local clubs and seeing what's up in the music scene, it really keeps me young at heart. My favorite band is hands down Pearl Jam, in my opinion the best live band I've ever seen (and I've seen allot in my years). Other than that I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids just doing the family thing.
