Tiny little fans - 08.16.2009, 05:47 PM

Found these at a local electronic surplus shop and thought they were pretty neat. Not sure what I'm going to use them for but picked a few up anyway. They're 5V so they can run directly from a receiver and only draw .1A. Size is approx. 1" square. Might use one on my Mamba Micro Pro. They push a surprising amount of air for their size.

Skycraft is the name of the shop, and if you're ever in Orlando be sure to check it out. Tons of cool stuff for all you tinkerers. I've been building up a nice kit of metric SS hardware, they got all the tiny screws and nuts down to 2mm, and it's all dirt cheap. Tons of stuff to use on RC's.

I have a few of those fans, I think they're 25x25x10mm, same AddA sticker on them except the ones I have a 12v. They work perfect for mamba max controllers.

Better not let Brian see this thread...

lol, I have no problem with you guys using them, I just don't.

And BTW: The MMPro is supposed to have a beefier fan made specifically to better handle the rigors of off-road, but it's nice to have something that can be popped in until a new fan arrives...
