Which Brushless? For a new guy. - 02.26.2006, 07:27 AM

Can I get some advice on a BL motor? I have a E-Maxx - 12 cells, possible 14 in the future. MIP CVD. Steel idler gear is coming and strobe slipper. I have BK 12020 controller, no motor. I am waiting for Wanderer 8xl, but it has been out of stock for a while. What would you recommend for alternatives? I was looking at Lehner Basic 3100. Should I keep waiting? Thanks!

I would say keep waiting. I don't think it'll be too long before the wanderers come back in stock

worth the wait imo..

(asking the wrong guy here, (endless powerhungry) it's like asking ncabz if he wants to buy your 2nd hand controller)

No, seriously, it's worth the wait!

the XL will offer you much more, you can always choose to increase the amount of cells with this motor/controller combo.

A 7xl would do nicely but the run times would be shorter.

i wouldnt go for the xl3100. first off, it wont like 14 cells AT ALL! it will get pretty hot on 12 to. i had one but well, its in motor heaven....it was a powerhouse but didnt have any torque. its like comparing a Forumula 1 car to a nascar nextel cup car. both have speed but only one has torque to back up the horsies...
