just sent an email to traxxas - 12.10.2009, 02:53 AM

i am just sick of how they sell NIMH batteries with their MMM equipted vehicles.
now that is the single best way to give castle creations bad rep!!

so i asked weather their so called power cells are really up to the job of what the average user is going to want right out of the box.
i said to either try not to provide batteries or provide lipo's capable of a MINIMUM of 100A with minimal voltage drop (4s setup)

it probably wont do anything but i had to do something!!

Everyone should strive for excellence. Some people just need a poke now and then. I know business and companies work a little differently but the same should apply. Unfortunately, the market standard will always be behind industry leaders.

It's all marketing, and it's what is keeping them from including decent batteries. They are known for only selling RTR and being a beginner-friendly brand. Many people want the "all-in-one-box" setup and be done with it, and the sticker shock of adding a decent set of lipos and charger would kill them. Not to mention the horror stories of puffed and exploded lipos when people don't properly take care of them because they haven't done any research.

I'm not saying it's right, I think they shouldn't offer the MMM setups at all, but it's all marketing, and it seems to be working whether we like it or not.

Traxxas is the like the Wal-Mart of the RC world. Supremely large, products for all price brackets and big on promises but short on satisfaction and quality

oh gosh, contain the rant

Like %80 of people are mindless sheep. Then there's %9 that are above average (the top %1 of people are here on RCM) and %10 that are below average.

That %80 worship celebrities and big gas sucking suv's and houses that require ride on vacuums and those people drive their MMM equipped r/c's with nimh's and fuel the capitalist machine.

Business don't care. The dollar is the bottom line. They pay lawyers to decide if a business activity is illegal or not, and, if found illegal, whether it is more profitable to continue the activity and litigate or cease the activity. If it is more profitable, they continue the activity and just pay the fines and fees. No morality. A business decision. Profit rules.

Until everyone has the same level of intelligence there will always be the majority of people that don't think things through to the next step. There will always be people that just do what feels good. And there will always be "fatcats" filled with greed poised to take advantage of the ignorant.

The world is doomed. People will destroy it. Hell, it seems there are entire cultures right here in america that embrace ignorance and a feel good lifestyle.

I'm off to a shack in the woods to start unibombing. Don't open any parcels from "The R/C Mafia".............

Good point. You need to learn how to use and look after the gear first. You don't buy an F1 racing car if you want to become a race car driver.
