Looking for X-long cvd's - 01.03.2010, 11:09 PM

I'm looking to move the diff in an lst2 foward and i want something about the length of an axle so if I could find a yolk that fits the end of an axle that would suffice, if not then i need a shaft about 150mm in total length. Is there any such thing?

xxl's split the differencer front to rear. they are each 1/2" longer for your additional 1" wheelbase.

OK, I know what you are trying to do!!! If you have a lst2 center cvd (which I am sure yuou do) you can get a wheel cvd from s LST1 (or afteshock, mega baja, ramminator) and put the female cup portion of the center cvd in place of the wheel cvd axle (hope that makes some sence).

The wheel cvd from the LST1 is the longest, the rear center cvd from a muggy is a bit shorter and the std center cvds from the lst are shortest. I am not sure about the xxl center cvds, they may split the difference between the std lst center cvds and the muggy rear center cvd. The muggy front center cvd is identical to the lst center cvds.

Any other lst cvd info, just ask! My stretched savage uses a muggy rear center cvd for the front center, and my 6x6 lst uses a LST1 wheel cvd to direct power from the pass thru diff to the rear most diff.

Here is a link to the LST1 wheel cvd shaft : http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSB3502

And here is the female end that can attach to te pinion (they call it a yoke) all you would need will be the pin that goes thru the yoke. But if you have the lst2 center shaft you can reuse the yoke and pin as it will fit directly onto the above linked lst cvd shaft. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSB3541

The LST2 cvd shafts are bigger on the cvd end than the lst1 so that is why the center shaft yokes do not fit.

Hope this helps!

That's the sort of info I'm after Linc. If the lst1 wheel cvd is any longer than the XXL centre cvd then that's what I'm after.

Thanks for the replies
