Anybody running Flextek arms with UE diffs? CVD's???

I'm trying to install a set of flextek arms on my brushless emaxx with UE diffs and cannot find a set of cvd's that will fit. These traxxas cvd's for the emaxx are too short

I also have a set of these MIP's and they are even shorter.

I cannot use the stock sliders with the UE diff cups and would prefer not change the diff outputs. When I stack the Flextek arms next to the stock arms, they are definitely longer by about 5mm.

If anybody is running flextek arms with UE diffs, I could sure use some advice.

Screw the pillow balls in further. Better buy some extra titanium pins also because you are sure to bend alot of them when those arm flex.

Thanks, but the pillow balls are already screwed all the way in. In fact, I had to back the front ones out because I had them screwed in so far that it drastically reduced the range of motion in my steering. I had the back ones in so tight that I stripped one of the heads and had to pop the ball through the knuckle and and use a set of vice grips to get it out of the arm.

My pillow balls are definitely not the issue. The Flextek arms are longer than stock and the UE cups are short. I need a longer CVD.

I have been researching everywhere and it looks like I may have to resort to changing the output shaft. I just hate to tear the whole truck down and disassemble the diffs to replace the shafts. I am also wondering if the stub shafts will hold up.

I've been beating my E with FLM hybrids/Hyper 8 diffs and the stub shafts for two seasons and they are holding up fine. Cant say the same for the Hyper 8 drive cups on my BB T, I had to replace all four after the first season. I'll be replacing the drive cups with stubs next time it needs maint.

I was going to ask if you had tried the Revo CVD's yet, and I had not seen those spline shaft CVD's before I looked up your post. I wonder how they will hold up under pressure. The look pretty cool by design.

Those would still require the use of the stub shafts. They are interesting, but I would like to see MIP come up with a captured pin CVD design.

just get longer cups, the ue's are pretty short, and there are many longer cups that will work with your ue outputs

Curious, did you ever find an answer? I had similar issues with HotBodies diffs and UE Setbacks. I am trying longer cups.

When I had my E-Maxx with Flextek arms and UE diffs, the only CVD's I found to fit the length were UE. However, looks like those splined MIP's may work.
