Summit with MMPro or Tekin RX8 -

Howdy Folks,
I've done a bit of research on the subject, but I'd like to go ahead and ask the great minds at RC-M.
Project: Traxxas Summit Batteries: 4s lipo Primary Usage:
-Primarily trailing (hiking the mountains) and pseudo-crawling (I have purpose-built crawlers for dedicated crawling needs.) Secondary Usage:
-It'd be nice to have a bit of speed (~30 mph) for the occasional jaunt between rocky places.
The stock set-up is great for trailing and pseudo-crawling, but I'd like to have a little more speed in second gear. I do not want to gear up at all and lose any of the slow-crawling capability. I ran a MMM/Neu 1515 1y for a bit, which was great for speed, but wasn't quite there for crawling.
I'm considering a sensored brushless system. There are many people who are using the Tekin RX8, but I haven't found anyone yet using the CC MMPro with a sensored motor.
Questions:
-Will the MMPro be adequate, or would I be better off with the Tekin RX8.
-Is there another ESC that might work better than those two that I'm not yet considering?
-For brushless crawling in first gear, what do you think would be a good kV to shoot for? I'm thinking something in the 1500kV range as an all-around choice.
The MMpro would likely handle the motor fine since it is geared for ~30mph tops, but as said, the BEC might be the limiting factor. I personally would go the safer route and opt for the Tekin; not only will it handle higher gearing better, the BEC is a bit more robust.
