Diff oil changing - 03.05.2010, 07:17 AM

HI
Should I take apart the center diff every time when I want to change the diff oil thickness? There is a 3mm grub screw on the diff case. May I take it of and wait until all oil to leak..?

I take it all apart so I can clean the gears and housing and to also change the o-rings. I use naptha to clean them and it gets rid of the remaining oil from the gears and case. It's easy.

Think of it like cleaning your engine inside but you get to remove the gunk to run smoother so parts dont rot like the rubber rings and if they need replacing even better, upkeep so it doesnt cost you more later
