Hey, you can look at these:

1/8 buggy/truggy front Shocks (the rears might be a little long)
Proline 'PowerStrokes' (you can still find them on ebay)
UE 'Supershocks' (again, you can look on ebay)

Have a look at this thread... What are the strongest E-Maxx shocks?... some good info here.

hope this helps

+1 on 1/8 scale shocks

There better than TRX's anyday and can be found cheaper. I ran front 1/8 buggy Ofna shocks and was real happy with them and they were only 17.00 a pair on Fleabay.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Ok... Maybe I should have asked this first... What shock tower and suspension arm combination are you using? ... A few more things that will determine a good setup...
Will you be bashing, doing speed runs, racing or jumping the truck?...

Do you have pics of your suspension setup?

Here's an example of two truck with '1/8' shocks:

The truck on the left is running 4 Ofna 1/8 front shocks and the truck on the right is running 4 UE Supershocks (basically Ofna 1/8 rears)

It's ben a couple years since I had a Emaxx and I must have erased all my Emaxx pics. all I had was this of a BigBlock Tmaxx with 8 rear sportworks buggy shocks.
For bashing it was a great setup, these were the light springs and the shocks had 30 wt oil, suspension was very plush and jumped well for it being almost 16lbs.

If you can't find, or afford, UE Supershocks, Ofna Ravager rear buggy shocks are almost identical to them, and are perfect for Maxx trucks. If you want a set, I have a brand new set, just PM me if you are interested.

Hmmmm... I'm thinking 1/8 rears might be a little difficult to setup with the stock towers... but the FLM towers will facilitate them well... Maybe you could try a funky combo -
'1/8 fronts to the front and 1/8 rears to the rear' (typically of a 1/8 buggy)... or just stick with fronts all around...
