The big bore shocks are nice. That and rpm arms would be my first mods. Al turnbuckles are not a good idea if you bash alot, and the weight savings are not really worth the cost. A better steering servo would be next on my list, something metal geared and at least 100oz/in.
Even thought the stock servo is junky plastic geared jobber, I'm pretty sure it's 150oz torque ?
+1 on RPM and aluminum shocks !
Associated aluminum shocks sell cheap on the bay and can be bought for half of TRX bigbores
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
traxxas bigbores are not bigbores they are even thinner than the stock ones. Alu cap with stock shocks is the right choice. BTW I've bigbores but using stocks with alu caps..

Indeed those are the way to go for the arms, and as for the shocks, the Proline's are the best for sure, but not cheap.
I agree about the shocks as well, but as we all know, quality comes w/a price

I use cheap buggy tires (mohavk) from e-bay with integy 17m adapters. I forgot it. 17mm adapters should be definitely your next upgrade
Oh yeah, but i didn't found any 17mm kit here in Denmark yet.
Do you think the Traxxas E-Revo 17mm kit fits on Slash?
Thinks the axel on the Revo is some MM thicker than the axel on the Slash - but not 100% sure. :)
