Blitz ESE - Anyone... - 04.13.2010, 11:49 AM

Pre-ordered yet?

I am thinking of selling my Losi 8ight and getting this instead. The CORR scene is huge here where I live and I currently run my Slash 4x4 but wanted something that could run off 2s as well. The Blitz ESE looks like my ticket into some less competitive racing. So has anyone took the plunge yet?

I thought about it quite a long time, but the priceing killed it.
The SCRT10 was a lot cheaper for me than the ESE would have been.
Otherwise I love the looks of the ESE and the idea to sell/buy a kit without all the crap you throw away anyways.
Like 27Mhz receivers, weak servos, crappy brushed motors/ESCs and NiMh batterys.

YES, send me one. oh, you're not offering one? damn i thought... well i'm an idiot. But YES i will take the plunge, just don't know when it's available. as far as price goes i think it will be cheaper in the long run to make a choice like the Blitz ESE, or FT SC10. in the mean time i don't know what to do with myself. Muny burnin a hole in my pocket, like you said i don't want all the garbage that comes witha RTR. The new sc10 rtr at least has 2.4ghz , but we'd be throwing away the stupid esc, motor, servo, tires. also the new rockstar body is f'n sweet (but doesn't help lap times). i'm still conflicted and getting impatient if ya can't tell

So who all got one of these? I want some pictures. I am thinking of getting rid of a lot of my supposed racers now just to solely race one of these.

I like the idea of the factory upgraded kit, but I don't really care for all they white and light grey plastic they used. It looks good out of the box, but after a few runs it will end up stained dirt brown or clay orange.

Buddy of mine got one, lhs employee, they contacted hpi to verify if the plastic can be dyed. It can be, so they is no need to leave it those colors. Though I most likely will. Besides a little clay stain just means it is being used right.

At my local track they run blitz almost exclusively, no 4x4 short coarse classes except for an open. Where I was running a mmm 2200 slash 4x4 on 4s. I want to have something light on 2s that hopefully wont fade as quickly as everything else that my track has raced. I don't see the 2x4 short coarse going anywhere in my area.

a guy at my track picked one up about 2 weeks ago, runs a sensored setup, and is posting the fastest lap times on the track. he is smoking everyone. we have a very technical track and the 2wd slash's are posting better times than the 4wd slash's so it's not all to do with speed in this case but i know he has been very happy with his ESE.
