Anybody have any experience with the Kyosho Blizzard?? - 09.28.2010, 06:54 PM

So I have never lived in snow and have always wanted to run one of these things. I got moved to Utah for work and now I have my chance. I order a new electric Blizzard and have a 4800 v2 Medusa and MMP just chillin and waiting.

I busted the seal on the ol' Blizzard last night and I am a bit worried. I know its just for snow and not bashing but I am wondering if this thing can handle a motor like this and a 2s maybe 3s lipo? Is this capable of BL lipo or am I just asking for frustration?

Welcome to Utah! I have a brushless Blizzard with a CC 4600 on 3s. It works like a champ.

Whereabouts in Utah did you end up?

Sweet I just worried about those weak little chains but if you say its a go then I am game. I live in South Jordan. I like the people here so far. I just work way to many hours lately.

Cool, my in-laws and my brother live in South Jordan. I'm just south of Provo. Lots of good R/C territory around here.

I was a bit worried about mine, too. The whole thing weighs so little that there really isn't much stress on the driveline, even with a powerful motor in it. I tried mine with a Lehner XL2800 on 4s and it could do a backflip...

I just remembered.... Make sure there is as close to zero slack in the chain and tracks as possible. It isn't the torue of the motor that would break something, it's the backlash of the driveline.

Did yours come with bearings? If not there is a bearing kit available for the Blizzard.
