I was in the neighborhood for a new multi-memory radio combo. I decided to take a chance on the new Fly Sky BT3B. From first impressions it is pretty good. After cooking one receiver module, I ordered four more for my existing cars and the current Madness build. From what I can tell right off is that there is no perceived lag between input on the transmitter and the action on the car. No glitching that I could see even with the slightest throttle input. When the sun comes up I will put it through it paces.
I know there are higher end 2.4ghz models out there but for the money, I think this one is right on. Binding is instant and programing the transmitter is as easy as twisting the dial and pushing a button. A big plus...a big backlit screen.

lol, I was thinking the same thing. More like a FYI thread...

I fried the first one rushing to get it hooked up and hooked the receiver power up backwards. I was pissed because I have been in the hobby for better than 15 years and that was a rookie move. The smell was horrible. Didn't make that mistake again. I have three bound and running.

How did you hook the receiver power backwards? The power wire is the center pin on the servo plug. If hooked wrong, the only thing that would happen is the ground and signal pin would be reversed. Any decent receiver should be able to easily handle a grounded signal wire, especially since it's not a high current line and the high possibility of users hooking it wrong.
I was actually using a two pronged receiver battery pack. Only two wires. One red and one black. Should have went with my first mind and hooked it up to the car to start with.

I got a chance today to get my GTP out with now controlled with the Flysky GT3B 2.4ghz system. I have to say the best 60 bucks spent. Range is incredible and responsiveness is spot on.
