not enough volts.
You'd need two and wire them in series.
What is their amp discharge rates?

they are rated at 10-12C(60-72 amps) and 18C(108 amps) bursts they should work but you would need to packs of them in series.

That's a pretty expensive battery setup! $376 is a lot to spend on batteries IMO. There are other alternatives to Thunder Power that are much cheaper, but will weigh more (still a lot less than NiMh).

They where on e-bay and went out for $100 and there was 2 of them. I missed them.:019: Hey Metalman, I would appreciate some recommendations on lipo's because I am not sure what I need.:002: Let me describe what I want. Right now I am running 14 GP3700's and runtime is about 20 min. and nothing gets hot. My pinion is 16 tooth mod1 and spur is 51 tooth ofna with strobe slipper. I would like to run the equivalent of 16 cells and 30 min. runtimes. I also want good batteries at a good price, around $200. Is this a obtainable goal? I know I will have to get LVD and a good lipo charger, :028: SAFETY COMES FIRST:028: . I don't want to burn my truck or my house:036: lol.

It might be tough to find 5s Lipo (total) that will give 30mins. of runtime for $200.
From Maxamps, you can buy a 2s 6000mah pack for $80 and a 3s 6000mah for $120. That's $200, and probably the highest capacity you'll get for that price for a pack with the right size. You could put the 2s on the same side as the motor, and the 3s on the opposite side from the motor for good weight balance.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for other packs, but you may want to consider this option.

Thanks Metalman, What does the "s" mean, Is "5s" the max I can use or is it the most I can afford? I saw a 6600 2s on maxamps.com for $112 can I use 2 of these or will the power be wrong? Sorry for all the questions I have alot to learn about lipo's

The "s" stands for cells in series. You said you wanted something similar to 16NiMh cells, and 5s Lipo will give slightly more voltage under load.
You could get two 2s 6600mah packs from Maxamps and put them in series, but it will feel like 14NiMh cells.

I see, Two 2s packs wont be enough volts. And two 3s packs cost $300+. Wow this is wild! Will having a 2s and a 3s cause any charging problems??

nope it should cause any problems. 6s is a tad much more a 8xl though so i think 5s will be your best bet.
