Harold, your reasoning is wrong I think.

It's because they already shipped it across the sea that they should be more expensive, because it will costs $$ to do it. When sold via the standard warehouse you will just pay for shipping, now they had to pay for shipping themselves and than you pay the last mile.

Anyway, I've seen the same with the DE warehouse. 90% of the time products are more expensive in the DE warehouse but there are a few items which occasionally drop below the stock warehouse prices.

blueb8llz, stop thinking about it and order, take the advantage of the lower prices.

I think it's because of bulk shipping, where to fill orders of 2,4,20 or whatever, it might be about the same to ship hundreds. Just a possibility

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

When shipped via sea you normally buy ''a place on the ship'' lets say a container. Whether that container is empty or half full will not make a lot of difference I agree.

But here's how it looks for HK in terms of costs (with made up numbers of course):

Production in Asia : $50
Selling : $10
Shipping : $0 (because we customers pay for that)
Total cost : $60

However, when they sell in the US:
Production in Asia : $50 (the same)
Shipping to US : $15 (additional costs)
Selling : $10 (the same)
Shipping : $0 (because we customers pay for that)
Total cost : $75

HK has to execute and pay for an additional product movement (shipping from Asia to the US) so it will cost extra no matter what. When looking deeper there are more additional costs. For example employees in the US will most likely earn more than employees in Asia. There are a ton of additional costs for US, buying and maintaining the warehouse, setting up IT there etc etc etc.

blueb8llz, enjoy them, I enjoy mine

you're overthinking it. Yes it has already been shipped once. Yes you buy a container on the ship. But as crazy said, they are shipping in bulk and can completely fill containers. Filling a container with individual orders is more expensive and less profitable. That's why they have multiple warehouses, otherwise they would just drop ship. It's the whole point of warehouses and bulk.

i ordered the last one in stock. just in the nick of time too. i originally wanted the 45c nano packs but they are on backorder. i almost got the flightmax 40c 5000k but then thats when i saw the usa based 40c 5000 turnigys for $12 cheaper.
my last packs were flightmax and now i get to test turnigys. i suspect them to be faily equal in performance.

Perhaps I am, altough normally I under think .

It's all possible, your reasoning is right with the assumption that HK pays a steady rate with variable volumes which would indeed make the price per product higher when volume drops. If they pay a variable rate, like I would as a customer, than shipping via Asia would always be cheaper.

Oh well, it doesn't matter what the reason is. The fact is that somethings are cheaper and we should benefit from that

p.s. other reasons could be better customer service with DOA and other warrantee claims and obviously attracting new business.
