Well, I recently revived my ESavage (thing rocks now!)
Re did shocks, power train, the good stuff.
Anyways, picked up some sway bars for the tarmac/ass-fault (asphalt..) sessions, and am now needing tons of help on mounting them.
I previously saw pictures of just drilling holes in the lower A-Arm, and mounting them, however I don't know the lengths, if it's stiff or loose, or tight, etc.
The main issue I have with just "wingin' it" is that my A-Arm is plastic, and one misplaced hole, and that'll be the hole I have to use for ever (hah...) As in, I can't adjust where I mount it by millimeters.. So I can't mount em tight, then find that it affects like no other, and mount perfectly, a cm away.. (Because the plastic would just cave in..)
So here's my question(s).
Do I want my sway bars very tight, loose, or set them down and mark those spots (not stretching, etc).
If I stretch them just a tad bit on initial mount, how bad is it going to be?
Adjusting the collar (if you want it smaller, you push the rod into the collar), will it be the same as mounting them very tight (if pushed in), or very loose (if pushed out)?
I know nobody really has answers considering E Savages are now extremely (not really) rare to drive now that we have Fluxs, and 2350s...
But I'm speaking universally, on buggies, MTs, etc..
Advice is needed!
Thanks
