Question help - xerun 80 on 5s? - 04.29.2011, 02:19 PM

Hi there,

I have read a couple of times that you can run the xerun 80a on 5s. So I got that OEM-rtr-Version (t2m) pretty cheap and the simple programming card to set it for 5s.

the reason is, I just have sent in the Xcelorin for repair, and the HK150 is already ordered, but not delivered yet.

Well, it doesn't work... any idea how to solve that problem? It works on 3 s. On 5s the green light is blinking. With the programming card, it's not possible to set for 5s. Self dedecting (nr. 1) doesn't help either.

shit.

thanks for a hint

Its a 4s controller, anyone that can get it to work on 5s is lucky & likely to kill it alot sooner with the higher voltage. See if it'll run without the lvc turned on ( I assume that's what you meant by 'set it for 5s' ).

I don't know if it applies here, but used to run the 80a ezrun's on 5s, the programming card itself didn't show that as an option, but when you went to the lvc choice it would set up just like the 150a did. It would not be autodetecting, just work on 5s only. I don't know if any of the others work that way or not.

thanks junkman, I'll switch off the lvc.
point no. 12 in the setup of the esc shows cell count, 1 ist autodedect, or you tell the number of cells, but it counts a max. of 4 cells, even that it's the same programming card like the 150a.

edit:
set the lvc of, doesn't work, just green light blinking. so it seems that here have been more changes to the ezrun then just a smaller pcb.
the 80a are underrated, the speedpassion are rated 120a, so that's marketing.
I think I have so sell it...
