Wanna Race Questions -
04.27.2006, 09:24 PM
Emaxx Set Up
Gmaxx CF chassis
Gmaxx Suspension
8 Spider Diffs
Hybrid Bulks
7xl
BK 21020 (possibly out of order)
MIP CVD on corners
Gmaxx SKids
Generation 4 Servo Saver
Hitec Servo
First i was wondering if i should extend my gorillamaxx, i decide on racing this season, and if so i need my shit FAST
Since i am racing what cells should i use, right now i have gp 3300 cells, they are in 9 cell package but i need to shrink them to 8. should i be looking at a different battery (i cannot afford lipo)
and this depends if i go extended or not, but what drive shafts should i run for the center? i have MIP on th ecorners.
What Tires, i was thinking Crime Fighter maxx size on 23mm hubs
What should i do to my transmission to make it safe for my motor
What else should i upgrade to make it race worthy?
Predator
What Brushless system should i get for my Predator, it is so low profile, i don't know any ESC's that small that will fit in it?
What batteries should i run in it? i was thinking ib 3800's
How do you charge saddle packs for the pred? just normally. and do i need a discharger for it
What power supply should i use?

ok well, i would get the extension first off. as for batteries, i would go for about 16 ib 4200s. you might want to consider a higher wind motor. 7xl is kinda hot for racing. also, as for the tranny, i would go for the flm half case, rcm idler gear, and gorillamaxx single speed. as for tires, i would go for 40 series crimes on velocities with dace adapters. also, you might want to consider a wing. it makes it handle much better.

should i run that motor than? and if i do what should i do with my 7XL, it has been ran like three times and there is a scratch on it. Should i try and sell it and get as much money as possible or keep it for something else?
I forgot to add i am running integy shocks and Mod 1 pinion/spur with the strobe slipper

Id sell off those integy shocks and get 4 UE shocks, they are the best shocks out there. For 16 cells you could try a 9xl, it should be really fast!
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

okay this is a complete list of how i think the truck would be sweet
Emaxx Set Up
Gmaxx CF chassis
Gmaxx Suspension
8 Spider Diffs
Hybrid Bulks
7xl
BK 21020 (possibly out of order)
MIP CVD on corners
Gmaxx SKids
Generation 4 Servo Saver
Hitec Servo
Extended
UE center dog bones
40 series crime fighter on yellow wabash
4 UE race x shocks
some kind of wing
DUH engineering titanium wing mount/shock towers
flextech instead of gmaxx arms
Need help picking out a wing/wing mount, and a good motor. and whatever else you would change on there. I decided to make this my only money pit ride. So i will EVENTUALLY move to LIPO.

ok, you cant really use the wabash. there made specifically for a revo and will make your truck the standard width as the old non 2.5 maxx (VERY narrow). as for motors, i would go for the 9 or 10xl and instead of the flextech arms i would go for the integy type 3 pro (racer-x copy). also, as for shocks/shock towers, i would go for the flm. there new towers have 13 mounting positions and a built in wing mount and as for shock, well i would have to disagree with sylevester. the best, i think, are the proline powerstrokes. yes, they are discontinued but there not hard to find and i think they are better. dont forget the rcm center drive shafts if you go for the extensions.

I have nothing against pro-line, its just for racing if you want a lighter truck those big bulky pro-lines are a bit heavy, its Toby's choice, either shocks are fine.

i have Gmaxx suspension arms already. that is just for future, and i rather keep the gmaxx over integy. Wabash are 40 series rims though so how can that make my truck narrower?

It is because they have a negative offset, they are made only for the revo.
