[RC-NUT]

It's been done before but I thought I would share mine. Everything was fabbed with a dremel tool, hack saw, and drill press.

Challenges:
1. How to fit a full size pack within the chassis rails.
- I had to cut one leg off of the nitro motor mount.
- Relocate the servo
2. Chassis flex between motor and transmission.
- An additional bracket was added to tie them together.
3. Steering servo relocation.
- I had to cut the chassis to clear the servo horn.
4. HPI 48p spur gear.
- The offset was too far. Pinion gear was at the very end of the shaft.
- I had to cut the spur gear carrier and sand down the hex nut.
5. Differentiall.
- The stock diff just isn't happy.

The truck is fun to drive. The diff seems to loosen up after a few minutes of driving. A fresh rebuild didn't mitigate the problem. I'm looking forward to some dirt pretty soon.

The only thing that looks like a potential " problem "to me is the spur gear?
It seems to be very close to the a-arm and the chassis, and diff output?

I built a GT-E as well, also a blue chassis. I used a 1200 Lehner XL motor with a quark 80 amp ESC. I used slightly smaller 5s 2500 pack crossways in the chassis.

I used the RC Monster Revo conversion motor mount with an adapter plate to mount using the Engine mount holes in the chassis. It ripped and run very cool, never a problem with the chassis bending. Wish i still had that car

Cool to see conversions are still being done. That featherweight almost needs no motor, you happen to have any pics of your crazyjr? That basic XL motor was a nice little motor. tiny 1/8th shaft, spooled up quickly

I wish i could, I lost the log in on that photobucket account. All it really was, was an RC Monster Revo electric motor mount and a 1/2'strip of aluminium shaped to fit three of the 4 RC10 motor mounts. The Motor mount was mounted there, with 4 M3 screws.

I ran that with a quark 80 and a 5s flightpower, 2500 25c pack. It wasn't a speeder, but got along nicely. It was about 25-30 tops, but with the 1200XL it spooled up very quick. The power was so extreme. on that little chassis. It had no trouble lifting the front end, despite the front heavy setup. Dirt running required a heli gyro, for stability. I blew a few minds, passing a 1/8 buggy on it's rear wheels. in a track practice once. This was in 2006 i think when i had it. Thinking about building another, with an outrunner this time. I miss that truck. Wish i could find those pics

I'm not a big fan of photobucket though, these stupid adds. Flickr now has a free 1tb space as well. Don't know if you can use these photo's for a forum though.
