Well hell.... this just might bring me back. - 02.15.2012, 01:37 AM

Yeah, its me. Been busy with other things after I "retired" from RC last year. Built new PC gaming rig and busy with Skyrim, BF3, Star Wars Old Republic and soon Mass Effect 3

Also been under new therapy and taking new OCD drug and paying off debt and deciding were to go with my life in this 2012 year.

Just recently decided to "check in" with what was going on in the RC world. Heard about the huge Losi Five T monster, Traxxas's new 100mph speed demon, and a 4WD HPI SC Apache which is guess is their answer to the Slash 4x4.

THen I just saw and read about this..... damn you HPI. I just might have to get back into RC once again for a gas powered Savage. I'll be lurking in the shadows and watching....

Bryce, good to see you back! Lately I had been considering sending you a PM to see where you were at.

Have you taken an arrow to the knee yet? (skyrim joke)

That HPI gas engine has turd written all over it. It will be way less powerful than a nitro (less rpm, less potent fuel) and will be exponentially less powerful than a brushless setup.

Rc-Monster Mike has just made a conversion kit to turn the huge Losi 5ive-T into a brushless powered monster. I love my brushless powered baja 5b, I would love to have a brushless 5ive-T.

I hope the meds work man, I know I get a little nutty when I don't take mine.

Peace man

I think HPI is marketing at the crowd that doesn`t what a hassle of tuning a nitro engine and the people who are new to the hobby.I`m wonder if it`ll be louder then a nitro engine.

Welcome back!
I'm excited for them too. If they put out any decent amount of power I think it'd be fun trudging around with a gas savvy XL! Many have said the power will be diminished, and I know it's possible, and likely. But I can hope they are little power houses.....
Also, I love the look of the 5T, wish I could get one right now!!
