Parts ordering from the UK

Has anyone done parts ordering outside of the US. I am in the UK and am considering buying some parts from RC-Monster, but am unsure of what the total costs are going to be. For example, will I have to pay import duties and how much are they? Will I have to pay VAT? Any help that you might have on this issue will be of great help!

Normally, it takes an extra 20 percent. (on shippingcosts/value of the shipment) Here in Holland, we sometimes need to pay an additional 13 dolars for the paperwork they need to go thru..

It all depends on the value of the goods, you will get charged VAT @17.5%
you most likely wont pay import duty though( unless you buy the whole shop)
also parcel force will want a £10 for admin.

typically I get caught 1 out of 5, so I'm still quids in, add that to Mike's first rate customer service, and you cant go wrong............

Don't expect not to get charged. The chances are high so be prepared for 17.5% VAT of the total value AND a clearence fee from the postal service (for me it cost more to clear it than the VAT).

Mike is kind, he'll see your from the UK and mark the total value down on the packaging. ;)
