CA on the CF Edges? - 06.23.2006, 12:49 AM

Just got my CF G2R kit the other day :004: :043:

Anyways, should I put and CA glue on the edges or anything?

If so, what kind is the best (I would also like it if it was easy to put on)?

Yeah,any CA should do,i like the thin stuff.worth doing,stops it de-laminating.
You don't need much,a thin layer is enough, apply it with a cotton bud thingemyjig.

I'd go for thin CA as well, just do not overuse it as it gets very annoying when it starts sticking onto stuff. I used Q-tips when i was applying this stuff on my old cf chassis.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Only if there is a very small amount of CA on the Q-tip.

Cotton Buds....now theres a plan Gustav, I went for the 'free flow' method.
It was going alright until a moments distraction and the inevitable happened,
CF with bits of skin................nice :024:

Dremeling yourself....ow x2. Geeze that would hurt like...uhh...alot. lol

Luckily, I get so nervous when handling CA (because I dont wanna glue anything to anything that shouldnt be) that any CA that gets on my comes right off because of the perspiration LOL!!! (also I have oil from my hands from working on stuff usually)

Sorry Darren, no pictures yet. I need to get some parts back from anodizing (going for the black, red, and silver theme) before I can start major assembly. Right now, I am just doing what I can.

However, I wont be able to drive this thing anyway because UE is taking their sweet time with their Idler's. I should have just ordered from Mike...oh well.

Well Duhh........When will you people learn :027:

Dremmeling is for Girls............I use a scalpel :030:

I remember the stories/urban myths that went around when CA glues first came out. Like people sitting on toilet seats on trains, only to find some smart arse has smeared it with CA......:026: true or not, it would be a nightmare if it happened to you.
I super-glued a teachers board rubber to his desk at school once. He did manage to kick it off eventually, and then threw it at my head :032: ( in the days when teachers did that sort of thing),.........The uses for it are just endless........
