16 cells on a gmaxx

I know it's been asked before but i cant find it. I heard when using 16 cells on a gmaxx chassis the servo hits the batterys on the left side is this true ?. So what is the simple fix :027: .

Keep as much space as possible between the servo horn and the batteries.

and make the drag-link sit between the servo and the horn.

that should do the trick.. (works for me)

Hi rene whats up ?.

Im using a proline servo saver & the saver is on the right side of the truck with a long link to the servo. Or am i better off putting the saver on the left side of the truck & connecting the servo directly to the saver without the link ?.

Hi Mike! everything is fine here over the big ocean..!

I put the UE saver close to the servo, and used a short draglink.

Cool i did'nt like using such a long drag link. I did that on my racebomb it worked great . Do you have any picks i could see of your gmaxx with the battery's all the way foward ?.

I also run the Proline, but my saver is on the same side as the steering servo. So I mounted my servo on the top of the plate. Works great. Gave about 2mm of clearance.

Do you have a pic ?. 2mm of clearence between the batterys & servo horn does'nt seem like alot .

I doesn't, but when you get yours set up, you'll see that it's actually tons! LOL, whatever you do, jsut don't mount your servo from the bottom, you can get more space, but you can use spacers underneath the servo as well. I jsut didn't want to have flex on the servo. i can send pics tonight when i get home from work ok?send a PM or i'll forget to do that!

ya i thibk its on the top also, but it it was how would the servo horn be underneath the g2 servo plate? i cant really make out, leroy's camera flashed and is hard to make out.

Yes rene. It is dusty. Hadn't had a good rain in weeks now. Every thing is turning brown. It gets right dusty around here at the moment.

I've never had a problem of my proline servo saver hitting my batts either, you should be fine...
