Gearing help with my truggy - 09.11.2006, 01:31 PM

I am trying to get gearing set on my converted jammin crt, I am running a lehner 2240 10turn and 8s lipo, stock 1/8th diffs, 51T spur and 16T pinion. I want to get the temps under control, my mgm 16024 gets too hot, I have one fan on it gonna get a second, the motor heats up too not to bad though, my motor mount has enough mass to act as a heatsink. The lipos get warm. I need to get a temp gun for better temp data. The truck has plenty of power I just want to get the esc temps down. Could changing my gearing help the temp situation, if so what gearing should I try. One other note, my tires are usually spinning like crazy (I dont know if that effects temps)
Thanks for the help.
Nick
