Hey guys! I just got an RC18T. And the stock shocks suck the biggie! I'm going to convert this thing th BL sooner or later. But my question is, what is a good shock to use? I would like something adjustable. Thanks!:027:

Nope. it has all the electronics. The shocks are oil filled and what not, but the bottms keep falling out of it everytime i smack a wall, and, one blew out the bottom. They just suck is all, so i need to get some goodies for it!

Aren't they different than the FT ones? If so, get the FT ones...

Since Thursday. The point in getting it was to convert it. It'll be some time before the actual BL system gets in there, but I'm going to get it ready first. Beef it up ya know. Thanks Squee for the advice. Just want to make sure I get real good shocks for it. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thought about the GPM's on ebay, just not sure though. new to the micro scene so..with that said, I want to get the best shock possible.

I use 3racing shocks on my RC18T and love em. Also, the only thing you really have to do to get it BL ready is to change out the dogbones to either the FT aluminum bones or CVD's. You might also want to check out the slop in your factory diffs to make sure they don't need to be shimmed. I've been running a Mamba 6800 in mine on 6 and 8 cells IB1200 and GP1100 packs for a few months now. If you have any specific questions on where to buy parts or anything else, just shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to help as much as I can.

stick with the ft shocks. flipping the stockers upside down might fix the problem!

use four washers on the gear side, mine slipped with the stock motor with anything less, they hold well with four

i would say no to the gpm's. i've heard to stay away from their mini hopups.

I would say no on the GPM as well. I've heard of too many problems on GPM shocks with bent shafts. Also, I've had the stock, FT and 3racing shocks and the 3racing were the only ones that didn't leak all over the place. I have heard of people getting the FT shocks to stop leaking with green slime ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXSF70&P=7 ) but never tried it myself.
