What's a good Wing for emaxx - 12.01.2006, 09:35 PM

Hi guys, i wanted to put a wing/spoiler on my emaxx buggy conversion for better high speed stability, and it just looks bad-ass. Can you buy one meant for the emaxx? Or do you have to use a Revo wing, and how do you mount it.

Either use a titanium shock towers from DUH engineering that use regular buggy mounts(i prefer this because you can get prety much any buggy mount and it is directly bolted on to the shock tower plus you get 2 shock towers for a little less than it is to get two integy shock towers that run 60 for two while these run for 2 for 39 plut they are titanium). Or you can go with the tekno wing mount from Teknorc and it bolts directly to the stock shock tower the only downside to this is that the replacement and adjustability options are not as wide as with the other(to most people this will not be an issue unless your a serious racer) ,also it is not a direct bolt to the shock tower like the other it is a like clamp between the shock tower(hard to explain) this is a bit cheaper at 30$ for just wing mount(wing not included). This works good i have heard but with this mount if you are planning on getting an aftermarket shocktower it has to be very similar looking(and have the holes in the same place) to the stock on for the mount to work. I guy has this mount at my local hobby shop asn it is sturdy and works good. Pretty much it comes down to the money-let me break it down for you. If you go tekno you spend $30 plus $8 for a wing to work with it(not sure about wing and wing mount prices just an estimate) this brings you to roughly $40 and you get a wing mount and a wing that works wth shock tower. If you go DUH you pay $40 the wing $8 and wing mounts $14(once again just an estimate on wing mounts), this comes up to $62. You get out of this set up wing, wing mount, a more common wing design for more adjustable settings and wing types, mostliky more stregnth but not positive may be the same as other, and front and rear titanium shocktowers(which is strong, LIGHT, and has bling). In the end you can decide but my opinion is for 20 bucks more you get 2ti shock towers and a more common wing design that you could possably mount to a future buggy. Your choice though both work well. I hope i helped i too was deciding this decision and i went with DUH. O and here is the links to check them out. www.teknorc.com www.duhengineering.com
