future projects. - 03.09.2007, 02:53 PM

Right now I am working on funding my Emaxx but once I am done I will try my hand at converting a couple nitros. After I finish the maxx I will probably pick up a radio like a 3pk to run with all my rcs. but after I do that I would like t convert an Aftershock and a kyosho inferno st-us like this one. http://www.ultimatehobbies.com/istar...mit%2Ey%3D0%26
I am not sure which one ye I will try first or when I will start on them but I posted to get some input ahead of time so I make my plans right. I know the lst2 has been done and done relatively easy. The truggy is what is bothering me as I have not seen chassis shots so I dont know how or if the motor will fit. Please guys I would like to spend as little as possible on the motor and escs for both of these. Probably feigao. Does anyone know of a site where I can find listings for all of there motors? Also If you can help me out with some chassis shots of the inferno it would be greatly appreciated.
over and out

I would start with one nitro to convert and go from there. Converting a 'couple of nitro's' sounds interesting though, and i am keen on seeing other persons conversions.

Did you tried rc-monster.com? Mike has got some motors that will suit your needs. He also is able to hook you up with any rc related part you are looking for.

all the buggy/truggies are very alike in layout. So you could do a search for different projects made by other members here.

If you have got the ability to create CAD drawings, Mike (the owner of RC-monster) can machine the parts you need.

Cool, yah I knew they had some fiegao's here but seems like most of them are not. like the wanderer there is only the xl12 and thats the only one I have seen so I couldnt even ask for another. I am almost certain that all my brushless wil come from here.the main thing I dont know about is how is the torqe? I was gunna go with a 9xl and 6s in myemaxx but heard that the quarck wont like 6s. So will 7xl and 5 or 4s work well? Yah I can do cad work. So your saying he can stock stuff like proline bodies and rpm a arms?

Yeah, that's NO problem, i am pretty sure he has got them in stock.

The 7XL on 4S is okay.

5S is too hot.

Is this your first BL setup? because 6S is quite some power!

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

the first edition of the maxamps 4K. (at 1P) they dropped bellow 2.75V per cell. No wonder though, it was doing a good 120A plus..

Thats nice, you got any vids of it on 4s? I might go with a 7 xl and 4s. Whats a good cheap controller to handle that?

Also what about 5s on xl8?

The MM is very nice for the programming and price (im using it in my 1/8 truggy with a lehner 1950). Either that or the 9920 with a LVC, but im liking the MM more!

So your saying the mamba max would work with the xl8 and 5s? Would I need to bypass the internal bec and add an extra?

Soooooo will it handle 7xl, 8xl and 9xl? If so I think that I will be running the mamba max esc. Can I run 6s on it? With the ubec that is.
